Overview
QR Studio is a professional, 100% client-side QR code generator that enables creators, marketers, and businesses to generate pixel-perfect branded QR codes with custom patterns, gradient fills, embedded brand logos, and high-resolution vector exports without paywalls or tracking.
The Problem
Most existing online QR generators hide basic features behind aggressive subscriptions, inject unwanted tracking redirects, or only produce low-resolution, blurry raster images unfit for print production.
The Solution
Developed a client-side vector generator supporting 11+ data types (URLs, vCards, Wi-Fi, WhatsApp, crypto), custom gradient and dot-pattern styling, real-time live preview, and high-fidelity 300 DPI SVG and PDF downloads.
Challenges
- Generating accurate SVG and high-DPI canvas renders while ensuring barcode scannability across diverse QR reader apps
- Handling real-time state synchronization between deep customization options (gradients, eye styles, logo overlays) and the live preview
- Implementing zero-server client-side PDF and SVG file generation directly in modern browsers
Key Learnings
- QR error correction levels must be dynamically calculated when embedding central logos to ensure 100% scannability
- Client-side processing guarantees zero data leakage, creating high user trust for sensitive Wi-Fi and contact credentials
